Site Plans

Any site plan or zoning request submitted to the Brevard County Land Development or Zoning Departments for a property located within the Merritt Island Redevelopment Area will be forwarded to the Merritt Island Redevelopment Agency for their review and recommendation to the Planning and Zoning Board and/or the Land Development Department.

The Merritt Island Redevelopment Area is bounded on the east by the Banana River, on the west by the Indian River, on the north by Merritt Avenue and on the south by Fortenberry Avenue.  Click here for a map of the redevelopment area.

Over the past six years, the Merritt Island Redevelopment Agency has reviewed site plans for the following businesses:

7-11, Anchorage Condominiums Barnett Bank, BJ's Wholesale Club, Boniface-Hiers Retail/Repair Facility, Brevard Kidney Center, Carrabba's Italian Grill, Circuit City, Clarion Hotel/Deck Addition, Community Bank of the South, Don Olson Tire Store, Eckerd Drug Store, Mike Erdman Toyota, Eyeglass World, First Merritt Center, Harbor Del Rio Condominiums, Hooter's Restaurant, Imperial Commerce Center Expansion, Island Auto Spa, Island Lincoln Mercury, Island Pointe Condominiums, Paradise Fun Plex, Sabal Pointe Plaza, Dr. Sidor's Dental Office, Tony Roma's Restaurant, Dr. Thompson's Dental Office, TJ Maxx, U-Store-It Warehouse, Value Pawn and Walgreen's Drug Store.
